Nursery care for children ages birth to 5 years old will be available during these services.  Preceding the 6 p.m. services in the church sanctuary, there will be a soup, salad and dessert supper ($5 for adults, $3 for children under 12, $16 family cap.) served from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Reservations for supper can be made by calling 828-693-4890 no later than the Monday before each Wednesday Lenten supper and service.  Reservations are not necessary for the worship service after supper.   Lutheran churches continue to use the Small Catechism as a core resource in confirmation ministry. Lent is a particularly appropriate time to once again look at the key teachings in Luther’s Small Catechism. The Mar. 8 service will discuss the Ten Commandments, the Law given to Moses by God; Mar. 15 service will explore the Creed, how Christians express their belief and faith; Mar. 22 service will focus on The Lord’s Prayer, the prayer that Jesus taught for people to repent through prayer; Mar. 29 service will be about Baptism, dying to our old, sinful self in baptism and raising from the waters as beloved children of God; and Apr. 5 service explains Holy Communion, its significance because of Christ’s sacrifice for everyone’s sins.  Grace Lutheran Church is located at the corner of Sixth Avenue West and Blythe Street in Hendersonville.
